Burnout Recovery – Doing nothing

There’s a lot of creatives who will tell you that in order to have original and interesting ideas, you first have to let yourself be bored. Heck, to have any new ideas you have to be bored. Why? Because that gives your brain enough time to try and make something up. If you’re constantly running from one thing to the next, one piece of content to the next, or even one project to the next, that’s not letting your brain process all the different pieces.

Moreso, I’ve found, it makes you look around a little bit more.

Over the last few weeks, I’ve been giving myself the space to just…zone out. Instead of forcing myself to be creative, I’ve been letting myself explore whatever is interesting in that moment.

There’s still a lot going on, but my mind has started wandering back to writing which is always exciting.

Happy Creating,

Rachel
